JAMES McQUEEN
IF YOU EVER LEAVE ME I'M COMING WITH YOU
Selected Works
On November 15th, James McQueen's latest solo show opened to the public at 148 New Bond Street displaying a new body of works using Penguin Books covers as a starting point for bold and satirical paintings.
Exploring themes of Pop art and abstraction, James McQueen’s complex application of paint elevates his art beyond the mere imitation of a nostalgic object towards an art that is rich and expressive. He represents the books not as they were when first published, but as they are today: stained and faded with annotations and tattered edges.
If You Ever Leave Me I'm Coming with You will run until January 7th. If you are interested in adding to your collection speak to one of our art consultants now.
